Services

Hollybank Ecology offers a comprehensive range of pre-application surveys and assessments with the principal aim of helping you secure planning-related permissions, consents and authorisations for your project:

Preliminary Ecological Appraisal (PEA);

Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA);

Biodiversity input to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA);

Habitats Regulations Appraisal/Assessment (HRA);

Biodiversity Enhancement Plan (BEP);

BREEAM/DREAM Assessments;

Species Protection Plan (SPP); and

Habitat Management and Monitoring Plans (HMMP).

Where potential impacts from a project cannot avoid a protected species, we can help obtain a mitigation licence to enable activities that would otherwise contravene nature conservation legislation. We also provide Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) services, delivering site-based advice and support to help contractors implement good practice during site works and to comply with specific mitigation and protected species licensing.

We work alongside our trusted network of biodiversity specialists to provide undertake further surveys that may be required; and to provide support on more extensive projects.

If you are unsure what ecological services you might need to progress your project, we're happy to have an initial discussion with you to identify what surveys and assessments may be needed; and highlight any potential opportunities and constraints to your project delivery.
